Liberty Life
The newly built Liberty Life Head Office Development, by Southern Sun, is situated on a prime piece of land located in Umhlanga Ridge, Durban. Adding to the stunning setting of the development, is the open park area in front of the building, ensuring that the development has uninterrupted views and is highly visible.
The first phase was the new Liberty Life Head Office which was completed in January 2010.
The entrance terraces at ground floor level are brightly illuminated with a hint of sparkle, to clearly indicate the access points to the building. This combination is achieved by means of low glare, metal halide downlighters, to provide the required light levels, with LED downlighters fitted with glass cones installed adjacent to the metal halide downlighters.
The interior of the building comprises various functional and transition areas, as well as feature elements.
The lighting on this development is both elegant, yet striking. The effects have been achieved by means of low glare solutions and energy efficient light sources, making the development one of the most identifiable and unique in the Umhlanga area.
